The TimeTec Parking System is designed to provide flexibility and convenience to both car park operators and users. One of its key strengths is the wide range of payment methods it supports, allowing users to pay for parking easily through different channels while giving operators and parking owner a full visibility and control over every transaction.
This article explains all available payment methods in TimeTec Parking and how each one works within the system.
1. Payment via Card Reader (TNG, Bank Card)
At the entry and exit lanes, TimeTec supports multiple payment terminals that accept:
      - Touch ’n Go Card
      - Credit/Debit Card (Bank Card Payment)
      How It Works:
      - The terminal connects directly to the TimeTec Parking cloud base system to verify and process payments.
      - For Touch ’n Go card, the fee is deducted directly from the card balance or TNG eWallet app.
      - For bank card, the terminal uses the Internet to complete the transaction via payment gateway.
2. Payment via Mobile App, TimeTec eWallet Direct (LPR Method)
Users can also pay for their parking session by register car plate inside e-Wallet App such as
      - TNG eWallet app
      - Flexi Parking app
      - Setel app
      - GoNet app.
      How It Works:
      - The app automatically detects the registered car plate when entering the car park.
      - The app will notify the user that the car has entered the car park and will start calculating the parking fee. Customers can top up their eWallet balance in the app using online payment, online banking, or credit/debit card.
      - When exiting the car park, the barrier will open automatically, and the parking fee will be deducted from the app balance.
      Advantages:
      - 100% cashless
      - Real-time receipt and e-invoice available
      - Convenient for repeat visitors
3. Online Payment via QR Code (LPR method)
How It Works:
      - Before exiting, the customer scans a QR code displayed near the exit or on the signage.
      - The QR code links to the TimeTec payment page.
      - The user enters their car plate number and makes payment online using FPX or eWallet.
      - Upon exit, the system automatically opens the barrier once it detects the paid car plate number.
Advantages:
- Low hardware cost compared to Autopay machine
- Fast and convenient
- No queue at the exit
4. Payment via Auto Pay Machine (APM)
The Auto Pay Machine provides a traditional yet cashless method for casual users.
      How It Works:
      - Users scan their car plate or insert ticket.
      - The machine displays parking duration and fee.
      - Payment options include cash, Touch ’n Go, QR, or card (depending on configuration).
      - Once payment is completed, users can exit within the grace period.
      Advantages:
      - Multiple Payment Options
      - User-Friendly, suitable for all age groups, especially users who are not familiar with mobile apps or online payments.
      - Offline Functionality: Can still operate even when internet connectivity is limited, depending on the setup.
