Smart Hotel Parking: Seamless Integration with TimeTec Parking system



Introduction
The TimeTec Parking Cloud System offers a secure and structured API (Application Programming Interface) designed to integrate seamlessly with hotel check-in systems or Property Management Systems (PMS). This integration enables direct communication between the hotel system and the parking system, allowing parking privileges to be managed automatically as part of the guest journey.

Through this integration, the hotel system automatically registers the guest’s vehicle plate during check-in or reservation. The parking system then applies the parking rules, such as free or validated parking, without any manual action from hotel staff or parking operators. As a result, guests enjoy a smooth parking experience, while hotels reduce front desk workload, minimize errors, improve efficiency, and maintain clear parking records for review and reporting.


Process

1. API Setup
      - Hotel requests API key and command key from TimeTec Parking
      - Keys are configured in the hotel system by the hotel’s IT or system vendor

2. Guest Check-In
      - Guest vehicle plate number is captured during hotel check-in
      - Plate number is validated by the hotel system

3. API Request to TimeTec Parking Cloud
      - Hotel system sends an API request containing: Vehicle plate number, Parking entitlement (free / validated), Validity period (e.g. check-in to check-out)
      - API request is authenticated using: API key, Command key

4. Plate Registration in Parking System
      - TimeTec Parking Cloud registers the vehicle plate
      - Parking rules are applied automatically

5. Automatic Parking Access
      - LPR camera detects the registered plate
      - Vehicle enters and exits without payment or manual validation

6. Auto Expiry or Removal
      - Upon guest check-out, the hotel system: Sends an API command to remove the plate, or Parking entitlement expires automatically
