Introduction
Face ID 6 offers a USB feature to download transaction logs when you are facing network connection issues to retrieve attendance data. You can follow the simple steps below when you have a device connection issue.
Process
PART A: FINGERTEC FACE ID 6 DEVICE
1. The first step is to download the transaction logs/attendance data from the device
2. Press Menu icon and choose ‘USB Manager’ then plug in your USB drive
3. Select Download
4. Select Download Access Records
5. Select the ‘Time Range’
6. Wait for the download to complete. Then, remove the USB drive from the device
1. Go to Device > click Add Device > Fill in Device Name, choose Communication Mode as USB File and insert your device serial number > click Add to activate the device
Remark: The serial number can be found in the device's menu (Menu > System Info > Device > Serial Number, or you can check the sticker at the back of the device (7-digit serial number)
2. Go to Attendance tab > click Import Transaction Log
3. Plug in the USB drive then select the USB drive location
4. Download the transaction log
For Face ID 6 ACC platform: please select / click the ‘udata’ so that it will show the transaction log > choose the date range and click Download
For Face ID 6 ATT platform: please select / click the ‘.dat file’ so that it will show the transaction log > choose the date range and click Download
5. Once done, go to Attendance Sheet > click Generate > select the user and date range
