How to Add Face ID 5, Face ID 6, and Kadex+ to the New TCMSv3 Software for Time Attendance (ATT) Device Type

Introduction

The latest TCMSv3 software now directly supports Face ID 5, Face ID 6, and Kadex+ devices, eliminating the need for the separate AWDMS software. However, please note that this version is ONLY supported for ATTENDANCE purposes.

Before proceeding, ensure that you select the appropriate device type. By default, the device is set to Access Push Protocol (ACC). To use the device for time attendance, you must change the device type from ACC to ATT to ensure seamless operation and accuracy.

Process

1. Change Device Type Setting

To change the device type setting on the device: Press Menu > System > Device Type Setting > Device Type > Select T&A PUSH > Press OK > Restart the device.

Important: Changing the device type directly on the device will delete all existing data. If your device already contains important data, use the update tool below to safely change the device type without data loss:

To use the update tool, first download it from the link above. Then, insert the device IP address and click Connect. Once connected, select ATT, click Update, and restart the device.

2. Configure Cloud Server Settings

To set up the cloud server, first check your PC server's IP address. Open the Windows Command Prompt (CMD), type `ipconfig`, and press Enter. Locate your IP address in the results (e.g., 192.168.2.117).

3. Add Device in TCMSv3 Software

There are two ways to add a device in TCMSv3: manually or by scanning for available devices.

To MANUALLY add a device, go to the Devices module and click Add Device. Enter the Device Name, change the Communication Mode to Middleware, enter the Device Serial Number, set the Device Time Zone, and click Add.
