Optimizing Hotel Parking Operations with the Rate Override Feature in TimeTec Parking
Introduction
The Rate Override Feature in the TimeTec Parking System is a functionality that allows administrators or authorized personnel to modify or override the standard parking rate tariffs for specific vehicles or situations. This feature is particularly useful for scenarios where customized parking rates are required, such as for hotel guests, VIPs, or event attendees who are entitled to special rates or free parking
With the Override Feature, users can:
Apply discounted or special rates for designated vehicles.
Bypass standard parking rules while maintaining system control.
Ensure seamless and personalized parking experiences for specific customers.
This feature is essential for industries like hospitality, such as hotels or hospitals, where flexible parking solutions are necessary to accommodate various guest needs, improve customer satisfaction, and streamline parking management operations.
Process
Under Parking Rule tab > Charge Rate > create charge rate for normal visitor rate and special rate
Under Parking Rule tab > Vehicle Group > add new Vehicle Group and assign charge rate.
Perform Rate Override on Timetec Parking Handheld by tap on Rate Override > Insert Car Plate number.
Select the new special charge rate and its validity duration.
The success Rate Override will be shown above. Customers must exit the car park within the 1-hour grace period, otherwise, they will need to pay the normal visitor rate.
