How to Troubleshoot Missing Face ID 5 Device Series in AWDMS (Unable to Search)

Introduction
The Face ID 5 device series requires AWDMS as a middleware to be connected to Ingress software. In order to add the device in AWDMS, you must first search for the Face ID 5 device on AWDMS before you can add and activate it on Ingress Software. Below is the guide on how to add the Face ID 5 device to AWDMS and Ingress software. 

In cases where you are unable to search for the device, even after following the guide above, please follow the troubleshooting steps below. 
1)      Check the cloud server IP and port number on the device
      a)       Go to device Menu > COMM. > Cloud Server Setting and set the server address to the server IP address.
 
Note: Server Address is your computer IP address where the Ingress and AWDMS are installed. You can check it using Command Prompt and type in ‘ipconfig’.

 

Server Port is the default port which is 8088 or you can check it in AWDMS. Go to Access module > Device > Search Device.

      b)      Then try to search the device again in AWDMS. If the device is still not showing after search, please proceed on step 2.

2)      If you have performed step 1, but are still unable to search for the device in AWDMS, please try to flush DNS and register DNS. For this step, please make sure that you are logged in to your Windows using administrator account and make sure you have full access privilege to your Windows.
      a)       Go to your Windows search and search for cmd and run as Admin
 

      b)      Type “ipconfig /flushdns” and press enter
 

      c)       The type “ipconfig /registerdns” and press enter
 

      d)      Then try to search the device again in AWDMS. If the device is showing or appear on AWDMS, you may proceed to add the device on Ingress Software
