Introduction
Some users have reported difficulties loading the AWDMS software after installation. It appears that Avast Antivirus may be causing interference. We understand that uninstalling or removing Avast is not a feasible option for many users.
By following the steps below, you should be able to use AWDMS without further issues caused by your antivirus software.
Process:
1) Open your antivirus software and navigate to Protection > Quarantine. You should see one file that has been quarantined from the following location:
C:\Program Files\BioSecurity\service\zkbiosecurity\lib\jar.
2) Tick the checkbox to select the file > Click Restore and Add Exception.
3) Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. Find BioPlatform services and restart all four services:
Cache
Core
Database
Online Protect.
4) Finally, wait a while before attempting to load the AWDMS software.
