Operator Guide: Manual Barrier Gate Lift and Restart Procedure (Model: BG1000)



Introduction

This guide provides car park operators with step-by-step instructions on how to manually lift and restart a barrier gate in the event of a system malfunction, power interruption, or emergency situation. Following the correct procedure ensures safety, minimizes downtime, and prevents damage to the gate mechanism.


Process

A. When to Perform Manual Barrier Gate Lift
      Perform a manual lift only under the following conditions:
      - Power failure or electrical fault affecting the barrier gate.
      - System freeze or gate not responding to commands.
      - Urgent need to allow vehicles to enter or exit (e.g., emergency evacuation, congestion, VIP access).

Note: Always inform the car park management or security team before performing manual operation.


B. Manual Barrier Arm Lift Procedure (Using Screwdriver)
      Step 1: Open the Barrier Cabinet
      - Use the authorized key to unlock barrier door panel.
      - Ensure only trained personnel handle the internal components.



      Step 2: Turn Off the Power
      - Locate the MCB switch (main power control)
      - Switch OFF the power supply to avoid electrical hazards and prevent the motor from engaging during manual operation.

 


      Step 3: Locate the Screw Hole
      - Inside the cabinet, find the screw hole, use a screwdriver, and turn it clockwise until the barrier arm goes up

    


    



C. Restarting the Barrier Gate After Manual Lift
      Step 1: Open the Barrier Cabinet
      - Use the authorized key to unlock and open the top or front panel of the barrier housing.
      - Ensure only trained personnel handle the internal components.



      Step 2: Turn Off the Power
      - Locate the MCB switch (main power control)
      - Switch OFF the power supply to avoid electrical hazards and prevent the motor from engaging during manual operation.




      Step 3: Power On the barrier
      - Switch ON the MCB power.
      - Allow a few seconds for the barrier control board to initialize.

      Step 4: Test the Barrier Operation
      - Use the control button, reader, or system command to test open/close movement.
      - Ensure the arm operates smoothly without noise or vibration.

      Step 5: Close and Lock the Cabinet
      - Once operation is normal, close the cabinet cover and lock it securely.
