Installation Guide for the New Ingress v6.0.0 MySQL Software with Middleware - BETA Version
We are pleased to announce the Beta release of the new Ingress software v6.0.0 with MySQL and Middleware support, which eliminates the need for separate AWDMS software.
This release is available as a Beta version only, with the official release scheduled soon. The Beta rollout offers an alternative to the previous setup using Ingress with AWDMS middleware.
Important Note: Existing users currently operating Ingress with AWDMS are advised to wait for the official release before transitioning, to ensure full compatibility and support.
HARDWARE REQUIREMENT
(Compulsory for the latest device models: Face ID 5, Face ID 6, Kadex+, etc.)
Note: RAM should be increased if heavy processing is expected, especially when connecting a higher number of devices and running multiple software applications on the server.
SOFTWARE INSTALLATION STEPS
You can download the Ingress MySQL V6.0.0.19 Beta Version from the links below:
Extract the .ZIP file and run setup.exe as administrator
Before installing Ingress, ensure the following components are fully installed and configured on your system:
Click Install to begin installing these prerequisites automatically.
Installation of ASP.Net Core 8.0.11 Runtime
Installation of .Net Core 8.0.11 Runtime
Installation of MySQL 8.0.37
Choosing a Setup Type - Select Server only and click Next
Installation - Ready to Install and click Execute. Once completed, click Next
Product Configuration – Confirm the Ready to configure status and click Next
Type and Networking - Leave default (TCP/IP and Port: 3306)
Authentication Method - Select Use Strong Password Encryption for Authentication and click Next
Accounts and Roles - Enter the password for the root account and click Next
Note: We strongly advise users to set "root" as the password to avoid any issues in case the password is forgotten.
Windows Service - Click Next
Server File Permissions - Choose grant full access to the user running Windows Service (if applicable) and the administrator group only, then click Next.
Apply Configuration - Click Execute and Finish
CONFIGURATION COMPLETE - Click Next and Finish
FingerTec Ingress - InstallShield Wizard: Click Next, and tick ‘’I accept the terms in the license agreement’’ then click Next
Destination Folder: Click Next to install to this folder, or click Change to install to a different folder then Click Next again
Ready to Install the Program: Click Install to begin the installation
Ingress DB Installer: Enter the MySQL password > Test Connection > Database Name: Ingress > Update Connection > Update Connection > New DB
Installation Completed: Click Finish and then Yes to restart the computer
