Cleaning Steps 

1.       Use a clean wipe to gently clean the surface of the prism. 

2.       Apply a small amount of glass cleaner to the clean wipe and carefully clean the prism surface. 

3.       It is recommended to clean the scanner after each use. 

4.       Finish by cleaning the prism with a dry wipe to remove any residue. 

 

Things to Avoid 

1.       Using a wet finger: Do not use the scanner when your finger is wet. 

2.       Using a dirty finger: Avoid scanning if your finger is covered with dirt. 

3.       Applying excessive force: Do not press the fingerprint scanner too hard if it’s difficult to scan. 

4.       Using sharp objects: Never use sharp tools to clean the prism as it may damage the scanner. 

 

How to use fingerprint scanner the right way 

1.       Ensure the device is in ready mode before attempting to verify your fingerprint. 

2.       Place your finger in the center of the prism for accurate scanning. 

3.       Hold your finger on the scanner for 2–3 seconds to give the device time to process your ID. 

4.       Wait until the device verifies your fingerprint. 

5.       Ensure your fingerprint matches your ID for successful verification. 

 

 

How to Troubleshoot When the Scanner Is Hard to Scan 

1.       Check if the scanner is showing a green or white light when you press it. 

2.       If there is no response: 

Navigate to MENU > Autotest > Test Fingerprint to check the scanner. 

3.       Ensure your fingerprint is properly placed on the scanner, covering the full image area.
