Door Open/Close Configuration With 5 Time Zones

Door Open/Close Configuration With 5 Time Zones

FingerTec Worldwide has improved the Door Open/Close Configuration tool from 1 time zone to 5. Access control terminals such as R2, Kadex and AC900 now can have up to 5 different time zones. Read more for the download link and instructions on how to use it.

The new FingerTec Door Open/Close Configuration tool can be downloaded here.

Step 1
Key in the IP address and Key (COMM Key) of the terminal needed to set the time zone. Click the Connect button.

Step 2
Select either Enable or Disable Force Open/Close function. If users select to enable the function, the terminal will allow time zone settings whereas if users select to disable the function, the terminal will reset and not allow the time zone settings to be set.

Step 3
Users can select whether the door will be open or closed during the time zone period. If users select Force Open, the door will always be open within the time zone period. If users select Force Close, the door will always be closed within the time zone period.

Step 4
Define the time period for open doors (in 24 hours format).
For example:
  1. Door set to Force Open.
  2. 09:00 to 18:00 – The door will be permanently open between 09:00 to 18:00 (door lock system will be deactivated). Users do not need to verify to open door.
  3. The door lock will be re-activated between 18:01 to 08:59, and users must verify to open door.
  4. 2359 to 00:00 – The door lock will work as normal for the whole day (Force Close).
If users need more time zones, they can set up to a maximum of 5 time zones for the terminal (R2, Kadex, AC900) by clicking at Time Zone 2/3/4/5. The time setting will be the same as the above example.

Step 5
Once the settings are confirmed, users need to click the Update button to load the new settings into the terminal.

Please restart the terminal once the uploading is completed. The time zone settings will be reflected once the terminal is restarted.
