We have been receiving feedback from some Ingress server and client software users, whereby they can upload users from Ingress server software to their device without issue but not from the Ingress client software. This issue may occur due to the user privilege from the Ingress client computer even if you log in to the Ingress software using administrator credentials.
Are you clicking on the ‘Upload’ button in the Ingress client but there is no response and you are not able to upload the user to the device? Well, this article explains the steps to solve this upload user issue for Ingress client software.
Check the Ingress server and Ingress client software version.
You have to make sure the software version for both the Ingress server and the Ingress client is the same. If the software version is different, we strongly recommend you reinstall the software to the same version.
To check the software version, click on the Ingress icon at the top left > About Us. You can also check from Control Panel > Program and Features.

Run Ingress Client Software as Administrator
Once you’ve confirmed the software version is the same, you will need to run the Ingress client software as Administrator. To run as administrator, right-click the Ingress icon on your desktop > Click ‘Run as administrator’.
If the computer is using a domain account, you are required to have the administrator credentials to run the Ingress client software as administrator.
Set ‘Run this program as an administrator’
You can always set to run the Ingress client software as administrator whenever you click on it. You can set it by right-clicking on the Ingress icon > Properties > Compatibility > Settings > Tick ‘Run this program as an administrator’ > Click Apply and OK.
