Introduction:
Timetec TA offers various mobile clocking features such as GPS, WIFI, NFC, and Beacon clocking. However, sometimes users may encounter errors while trying to use the GPS mobile clocking feature. This article will provide step-by-step instructions on how to troubleshoot these errors.
1: Error: Location Disabled (1) - Phone location service off
Check if the location services on your phone are disabled. You can enable them by going to your phone's settings. Navigate to the ‘Location’ option and enable it.
2: Error: Location Disabled (2) - Location services permission denied
If the error persists, it could be due to the application not having permission to access your location.
1. Go to your phone's settings and find the ‘Application’ option.
2. Look for the Timetec HR application and enable the permission for location access.
3: Application Taking Long Time to Load During Clocking
If the clocking process is taking a long time to load, it could be due to connection issues or a low GPS signal.
1. Try connecting to a different network or WiFi to see if the issue is resolved.
2. If possible, go outside of the building to get a better GPS signal.
4: Geofence (User Able to Clocking Without Any Restriction)
Timetec TA offers a Geofence feature that allows users to clock in only within specific areas. If a user can clock in without any restriction, it means they are not assigned to the Geofence group.
To assign a user to the Geofence group, go to Timetec TA (web) and navigate to Mobile Clocking > GPS Geofence
B. Select the appropriate Geofence group and click on the "Assign user" icon to assign the user.
By following these troubleshooting steps, users should be able to resolve any issues they encounter while using the GPS mobile clocking feature in Timetec
