The WiFi is a mechanism that allows electronic devices to exchange data wirelessly over a computer network. The TA200 Plus has an optional connection function using the Wifi to connect to a network resource via a wireless network access point.
The WiFi option allows for an easier device installation without the needs of wiring and facilitates a faster and stable real time transfer of attendance data.
The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a network configuration protocol for hosts on Internet Protocol (IP) networks. Terminals that are connected to IP networks must be configured before they can communicate with the software. The most essential information needed is an IP address, and a default route and routing prefix. DHCP eliminates the manual task by a network administrator. It also provides a central database of devices that are connected to the network and eliminates duplicate resource assignments.
If you have a problem setting up the configurations for your TA200 Plus WiFi, we have a solution for you. We have developed a firmware and by using the DHCP, you can effortlessly configure the WiFi settings into your terminal.
We have not released the firmware to public yet but we will email it to you upon request. If you are interested to obtain this tool, please send a request email to support@fingertec.com.
