MySQL services unable to run: Started and then stopped error
MySQL Server is a server that stores the Ingress Software database. MySQL service is required to run for the Ingress Software to function well.
Since the MySQL service was unable to run (as seen below), this error will cause the Ingress Software to fail as it is unable to connect to its database which resides on the MySQL Server.
Here’s how you can troubleshoot yourself. Make sure to log in to your Windows account as an Administrator before proceeding with the following steps.
Search ‘cmd’ at your Windows Search Bar > Run Command Prompt (cmd) as administrator.
Type cd MySQL destination folder location on your computer.
For example, type ‘cd C:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5\bin’ at the command prompt and press enter.
Then type ‘mysqld –initialize’ and press enter.
Wait until the process is completed and exit cmd.
At your Windows search box, Search for Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > Find MySQL Services > Click start to start service and wait for the process to be completed and the service to run normally.
Once the MySQL service is running, you can try to run the Ingress DB installer again and then run the Ingress Software itself.
