MULTIPLE NON-ADMIN ACCOUNT USING USER ROLES FEATURE FOR INGRESS & TCMSv3

Multiple Non-Admin Account Using User Roles Feature For Ingress & TCMSv3

Multiple personnel logins using the same admin account might cause a huge problem for the main admin who uses the software only to manage attendance, payroll and users’ information. A non-admin who has full access throughout the software might tamper with important data related to the software; employee attendance, delete user credentials, or set door access level, etc. Limitations can be created to ensure that these non-admins do not have access to a certain feature within the software.

Introducing User Roles!

Here are some benefits of utilizing User Roles:

  1. Improved security and access control.

  2. Granular permission control for different tasks and resources.

  3. Increased transparency and accountability.

Here are the steps to create your User Roles account.

  1. In Ingress, log in as an Admin user, open System Settings > User Roles > Add Role > Customize.

  1. To test whether these features have taken effect with the new non-admin account, log in from the Admin account, and log in using the newly created non-admin account.

  1. Go to Attendance > Attendance Sheet. As you can see from the figure below, only the functions enabled (Generate Attendance Record & Download Transaction Log) are available to this non-admin account. So, non-admin users can not tamper with other buttons within the page.
