Ingressus 4 In/Out Device : K-Kadex / I-kadex pair with R2c / R3c

Ingressus 4 In/Out Device : K-Kadex / I-kadex pair with R2c / R3c

Introduction

Ingressus IV is a controller that supports access control for 4 doors. By default, the Ingressus IV only supports 1 Wiegand device for each door as In-device. However, by using RS485 slave, we can make the setup to have an Out-device.

Wiegand slave device = k-Kadex or i-Kadex

RS485 slave device = R2c or R3c

Wiegand slave devices should always be the entry (IN) device at Ingressus, and you need to set the RS485 slave devices as exit (OUT) device by setting the R2c / R3c deep switch to number 2, 4, 6 or 8 according to the door.

  1. k-Kadex / i-Kadex as entry (IN) device and R2c / R3c as exit (OUT) device

By default the entry device is always none and the in/out status at monitoring will be shown blank.

Set Ingressus IV - 1(in) as the entry device. The in/out status will show (IN) after successfully verified at k-Kadex and will show (OUT) for R2c.

Event for k-Kadex = Normal Punch open (with card number)

Event for R2c = Press fingerprint Open

  1. R2c / R3c as entry (IN) device and k-Kadex / i-kadex as exit (OUT) device

Without changing the deep switch settings for R2c, we just need to adjust the entry device at ingress software.

Set Ingressus 4 -1(Out) as the entry device. The in/out status will show (IN) after successfully verified at R2c and will show (OUT) for k-Kadex

Event for k-Kadex = Normal Punch open (with card number)

Event for R2c = Press fingerprint Open
