How to use Emergency Roll Call

Management offices and admins can take advantage of the emergency roll call feature to start emergency evacuations in an event of an emergency such as a house fire or gas leak, this function can also be used to create fire drills to test residents responsiveness.

You will find this function under the Management tab, just click on Emergency Roll Call.
 

You will be greeted with this page.
 

The 3 available actions on the top right of the page are as such:
a. Emergency Settings - allows admins with access to configure roll call settings.
b. New Evacuation - create a new evacuation event.
c. Schedule Drill - schedule an emergency drill to test management and resident responsiveness.

Emergency Settings
i. Assembly Points - Upload layout of site for residents to view in app the assembly points in an event of an emergency roll call.
- Click on the pencil icon to edit existing assembly points.
 
- Admins are allowed to upload new floor plans and site photos to replace the existing ones.


ii. Emergency Contacts - Admins may add emergency contacts for residents to view in app during an emergency roll call.
 

iii. Safety Guide - Default guides for available emergency categories. Each guide can be edited by admins by clicking on the pencil icons.

New Evacuation
1. Select the emergency type and fill in the necessary details.
NOTE: Rental unit owners will not receive alerts. Only tenants will receive.
 

2. Confirm action by clicking on "Yes, send now".
 

3. Success.
 

 

Schedule Drill
1. Select the date and time for the drill to start. Residents will be alerted at this time.


2. Select the residents. Residents in blocks/streets not chosen will not receive any alert regarding this event.
NOTE: Rental unit owners will not receive these alerts. Only tenants will receive the alert.
 

3. Click save to proceed.

Managing the Roll Call/Evacuation/Drill
The 3 available actions on the top right of the page are as such:
a. Batch Update - allows admins to bulk update resident status
b. Edit Evacuation - allows admins to make changes to the evacuation details.
c. End Evacuation
 

Batch Update
1. First select the residents you wish to update.
2. Select the status to bulk update to "Need Help" or "Mark as Safe".
 

3. Fill in the details and click update.
