How to Enable Door Sensor Function For H2i Device

Introduction

For the safety or requirement of an industry, a door always needs to be closed or it will risk intrusion, damage or loss of a product or an environment. For example, the storehouse storing valuable things, a server room where the temperature needs to be maintained, the dust-free rooms, etc. Hence, the assurance of knowing that the room always needs to be closed neatly is mandatory for some premises. 

In this article, we will guide you on how to enable the door sensor function for H2i devices, which will alert the user when a door is not closed properly. 


Requirement

  • H2i FingerTec device

  • Software FingerTec Ingress / TCMS V3

  • Magnetic contact


Wiring Diagram



Process

  • Open FingerTec software Ingress / TCMS V3 >  Add Device 

  • Go to tab ‘Doors’ > Add Door > Add device to the selected door 

  • Go back to ‘New Door’ > Click ‘Edit’ at the bottom right corner 



  • Go to ‘Door Sensor Type’ > Select ‘Normal Close’ > ‘Save’

  • Please make sure to synchronize the setup at the end of the process.



How it Works

  • From the software you can go to ‘Monitoring’ to see the process

  • At the ‘Event’ column you can see the activity sent by the device for magnetic contact sensor

  • The alarm will trigger when the door is left open exceeding the time limit that has been set
