How to Connect TC30 (HIK Vision) with TimeTec Attendance

How to Connect TC30 (HIK Vision) with TimeTec Attendance

Introduction

TimeTec has achieved yet another milestone as the team has successfully integrated TimeTec Attendance with the Hik-ProConnect platform. This integration allows companies using Hikvision face recognition devices that are connected to Hik-ProConnect, to use and manage their attendance via TimeTec Attendance.

A new section under ‘Terminal’ was created to allow users to add and manage the Hikvision devices in TimeTec Attendance. Once added, data from the Hikvision device will reflect in TimeTec Attendance automatically.

Prerequisite

1. Turn on the device - Press the ‘OK’ menu button - use the registered admin password to access the device Menu. Please contact our support agent to obtain the default registered password.

2. Connect the device to the network ( Menu > System Settings > Comm > WiFi or Ethernet)

3. Make sure the network has an online connection without any firewall blockage to the network.

Add Device to TimeTec

1. Log in to TimeTec as a system administrator, go to Device > Terminal > Proconnect (HikVision)

2. Click on the ‘+’ button to add a new terminal.

3. Insert the device serial number and location accordingly, then click the Save button.

4. Added device will be shown in the device list as well as the device connection status. Note that the red color indicates that the device is disconnected while green indicates the device is online.

Upload User from TimeTec to Device

1. To upload users from TimeTec into the device, go to Device > Terminal > Proconnect (HikVision), select the device(s) to upload users to, then click Manage Terminal > Upload User

2. Select users to upload into the device. You may find users based on their user ID or name, or you may also filter based on the organization structure. Then click to submit users.

3. Proceed to enrol a user’s face template on the device. It is highly recommended to follow the steps of uploading users into the terminal from Timetec software first and then proceed to register the user’s template on the device. If you prefer to register users directly on the terminal, please ensure that the user ID registered in TimeTec is exactly similar to the one registered on the device to avoid incorrect data sync.

If some of the screenshots or steps viewed here are different from the ones in the current system, this is due to our continuous effort to improve our system from time to time. Please notify us at info@timeteccloud.com, we will update it as soon as possible.
