Disassembly Face ID 5/TD/FTD Parts

Introduction

Device assembly is a process in which all the internal components of the device system are fitted to make the device functional. The main component involves MCU Board, Camera Module, Infrared LED, Scanner Module, LCD Screen, LCD Touch Panel, etc. There is a proper process of attaching and installing every component. An installation technician should be competent to disassemble and reassemble the device. In this article, let’s dive into the step-by-step process of the Face ID 5 device and the disassembly of all the parts. 


Process of Disassembly Parts


Step 1:
  • Turn Off the power supply or power adapter that supplies power to the Face ID 5 device.

  • Dismantle the Face ID 5 device that is installed on the wall. 

  • Unplug all cables attached to the device.

Step 2:


Open all six screws from the back casing.

Step 3:


Open the back casing and be careful of the speaker connector


Step 4:


MCU Board Version 1.1

Take out all the connectors that are attached to the MCU board 

MCU Board Version 1.3

The LCD Panel and LCD Screen connector is located at the back of the MCU Board


Step 5:


  • Remove the sticker from the LCD Screen connector 

  • Take out the LCD Screen connector 

  • Unscrew MCU board 


Step 6:

Unscrew the camera module, IR LED Module, and Scanner Module.


Step 7:

  • You can now easily remove the LCD Screen, RFID Antenna and WIFI Antenna
