Configure Alternative Restday Easily in Ingress/TCMS V3

Introduction
Every company has their own schedule configurations for Workday and Restday. In this article, we will guide
users on how to configure Alternative Restday in Ingress/TCMS V3. Alternative Restday allows user to set
Restday for every alternate week, for example, if the Alternative Restday is scheduled on Saturday, the
company will then operate every Saturday on the first and third week of the month, while every other Saturday
will remain as a Restday for the company.
*Remark : This feature is available for Weekly roster ONLY.
Benefits
With Alternative Restday settings, it will be easier for organizations to setup Alternative Restday in the roster
settings which will then ensure that the attendance records are generating the data correctly (either to calculate
normal work time or overtime)
Process
For example, we will configure the schedule as shown below:
Workday: From Monday to Friday – 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
Restday: Saturday and Sunday
Alternative Restday:  Every Saturday on the second and fourth week of the month
Step 1: Configure schedule
Alternative Restday is on Saturday. Hence in schedule setting, you will need to set the day type for Saturday
as Workday instead of Restday.

Step2: Configure working roster
Create Weekly roster > Click edit > Auto Schedule > Select Alternative Restday as Saturday > Click apply
Restday on week 2, 4 and 5.

And the Weekly roster will display as shown below (Yellow color = Restday, Grey color = Offday,
White = Workday)

Save the group duty roster settings. Then open the attendance sheet and generate it for all users.
